One of the beauties of Oregon is the ability for to have an outdoor wedding almost any month of the year because of the state's lush, green forests and abundant outdoor wedding venues. Some months are often very unpredictable with weather, however, but fortunately for you, most wedding vendors in 2023 have figured out all the back up plans in case a last minute back up plan is required. Winston and Kim's wedding last May was one of those days where the rain decided it would be attending last minute. Fortunately they had a great wedding coordinator and day-of assistants that quickly saved the day and rearranged all the necessary details to allow the wedding to proceed with hardly a hiccup. The sun still made its appearance following the ceremony just in time for some wonderful bridal party and family photos as well as some precious portraits of the happy couple.
Horning's Hideout is such a great venue as it offers multiple ceremony sites among the grounds to perfectly fit your needs. You can see another wedding I photographed there was for Robert and May's day here. The only thing its really lacking is a large place to get ready prior to the wedding, but this simply allows you the opportunity to get glam with a whole different vibe, which they chose The Benson Hotel, which is just under a 40 minute drive from downtown.
My best memory of Kim + Winton's Day was just how fun of a couple they are individually and how that emulated throughout their whole day well into the late reception dancing with the best DJ, Jess the Ripper.
